Feng Shui enhancement for the exterior of the houseHow to use Feng Shui to attract wealth?

Tuesday, August 10th, 2010

There are many remedies and enhancements that can be used on the exterior of your home, to invoke the flow of wealth, and Chi in the prosperity area. It is significant to first understand Feng Shui’s underlying school of thought regarding money, though. Money should be viewed as something which ebbs and flows, comes and goes. Wealth is associated with the symbolization of flowing wind, which represents the fluid path of wealth . An important ideal to live your financial life by is to see money as a tool, and the means as well as the end. Therefore, don’t be worried about using money for things which require it; starting a new corporation is a great example of how money (and its Chi) need to flow outwards and inwards. If you put money into a venture , you are creating ever changing Chi regarding your wealth .

The prosperity Gua is located in the southeast niche of the Bagua, so the rear-left corner of your house and of each room. If you make sure that wind is eternally flowing in this area of your house, you are using the Chi associated with prosperity in a innovating and fortifying way. If this Gua of your house is really an outside one, such as a verandah or outdoor entertaining area, this is great for Chi flow. If it isn’t, leaving windows open or regularly using a ceiling fan in this bagua is good for energizing Chi for prosperity.

As to the outside of your home, anything that sways in the wind is a good Chi enhancement. A banner or a flag which sways in the wind can be a great enhancement, especially if it is placed in an advantageous placement. These are quite easy to add, also. Flowing water, under the same principle as flowing air, is associated with the movement of wealth. A modest fountain or water feature in the front of yourhomerepresents the flow of wealth and prosperity. The same is also true of objects associated with water inside your home, like aquariums. Live plants also represent the movement of Chi, and while they can be difficult to place indoors, being restricted by light, placing them outdoors is easy. Not to mention the fact that horticulture is often relaxing and enjoyable!

It is just as important to get rid of negative objects and Chi from the outside of your home. Your house ’s plumbing is associated with wealth (as it is flowing water ), so fixing any breaks in your pipes or guttering represents fixing drains upon your finances. Clutter can be just as harmful outside as inside, also; don’t let trash or idle items roll up outside your house. Reuse or recycle them, or if this isn’t possible, take them to the tip.

Remember to use Feng Shui techniques by visualizing your ideal outcomes using objects such as a cheque written out for your ideal amount of money, or pictures of wealthy individuals, or books about them as affirmations. Keep your goal in mind, apply the underlying principles and it will be achieved!

The Garbage Bowl – The Key Strategy to Quickly Clean Your Kitchen When Cooking!

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

The principle of mess containment is a cornerstone for quick clean ups. And having a garbage bowl when you prep and cook is one the greatest ideas! I cannot say I invented this idea. This idea came from Rachael Ray. She has a show, 30 Minute Meals, where she cooks a delicious meal in under 30 minutes. Talking about quick! I love that concept and the show.

Anyways, it’s not just her cooking style that makes her quick, it’s also the methods and procedures she uses while cooking in the kitchen that makes her quick. The best idea I got from her is the garbage bowl! Now since this idea has caught on, the Rachel Ray brand actually sells a 10″ Melamine Garbage Bowl for about $20 USD.

I personally think that is overkill. I personally use a Halloween Trick or Treat bowl. But any large 8 inch to 12 inch bowl will work.

Why does this idea work so well? It’s because it contains garbage. It’s right there when you need to throw away anything: cans, empty bottles, scraps, peelings, anything! When you are done cooking and ready to clean up, you simply take the garbage bowl and throw the contents away. Sometimes when you have something that could be stinky, you can place the garbage in a produce bag and then throw away the garbage.

It sounds so simple, but this method is so effective! Having the garbage bowl around has saved me so much time. My mother used to have the big garbage pail around when she cooked. But that never made sense to me because sometimes she would trip over it and tip it over. Other times, the garbage would stink up the kitchen.

So when I watched and saw Rachael Ray do the garbage bowl idea, I said to myself: “Why did I not think of that?” Well, it does not matter that I did not come up with the idea. This idea works awesome to set up your kitchen for quick cleaning!
